Nov. 29, 1968: Goalie Tony Esposito made his NHL debut when he replaced Rogie Vachon in the Canadiens' 5-4 loss to the Seals in Oakland. Esposito was claimed by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1969 intraleague draft and went on to a Hall of Fame career.

Nov. 28, 1964: Henri Richard became ninth player to score 200 goals with Canadiens in a 2-1 win over Boston Bruins at the Forum. Richard finished his 20-year career with 358 goals, which ranks eighth all-time on Habs, and won a record 11 Stanley Cups.

Nov. 28, 1978: Jacques Lemaire became the sixth player to score 350 goals with Canadiens in 3-0 win over Philadelphia Flyers at the Forum. Lemaire scored 366 goals during his 12 seasons, which ranks seventh all-time on Habs, and won eight Stanley Cups.
