Familiarize yourself with our microphones and audio recorders, learn how to use them and how to reduce background noise. Participants will even learn DIY tricks for recording audio at home.  Email [email protected] to pre-register.

Gain an understanding of audio production for video in our introductory audio workshop. Through this workshop, participants will learn how to record voices and background/folly sounds.

Circles is grounded in the Cree teaching of closing circles after opening them and using this concept as a practical and spiritual practice for balance and peace; reflecting on universal questions of where we come from and where.
"dream zones hormones undertones fish bones" by Daze Jefferies (12m 30s) explores intergenerational connections and hope for the future among trans femmes on the internet, at the turn of the millennium, in Atlantic Canada.
"Dismembered fixations" by Francisco González-Rosas, (5m 36s) is a video monologue that conveys a subjective account about the way queer and racialized identities are commodified and showcased as spectacle in mainstream media.

Jacinte Armstrong is taking up residence at Struts from January 21 - 31. She is exploring VR as experience for a player but also as a motor for performance for groups of people. She is looking for members of the public who are interested in helping her test out her experiments in virtual reality.
