So, in the biplane scene, why was the bad guy trying so hard to make Ethan crash or plummet to his death? Because Ethan had the Podkova device that Gabriel wanted. Which surely would not have survived either fate. Makes no sense.

Need to put together about $400 in the next week. Insurance bill & my microwave just died.

I've been pushing my online bookstore, but not making much headway. If you can spare a few bucks, I'd appreciate the help.

I confess, subscriptions have slowed… but I never aspired to universal appeal. That said, if you want to support your local comics writer for as little as $1/month and get some inside show bidness lore… feel free to sign up. If you’re boycotting Starbucks and Target, maybe you have a buck to spare.

I wonder, is it my ADHD that makes "suspenseful" segments in movies so tedious? Especially in places where I know it's going to amount to nothing because then the movie would be over.

In some cases, it's likely poor writing, but I doubt that is always the case.

Hey WGA folks, the website at www.wga.org/ just got a spiffy refresh and restructure. There's also a dedicated AI page you can find there with all the terms of the 2023 explained. The AI hygiene document referenced at last night's meeting will also eventually be hosted there.

Hey! If you’ve ever liked my voice, now, before the end of the year, would be a really good time to hire me for any SAG-approved projects!

Asking as someone who loves VO, and also really loves having halfway decent health insurance

Apologies for the heavy online bookshop promotion to come in the next week or two. Have to raise some cash and no checks are currently winging my way.

If it's too annoying, feel free to mute me for a bit. No hard feelings.

Turned on the cold water tap. Put my hand under it. Waited for the water to get warm.

Took me long than it should have to realize I had turned on the COLD water tap.

My Stranger Things rewatch has rminded me that I definitely like Joseph Quinn more as Eddie Munson than Johnny Storm.

Productive day. Got snowthrower up & running for the season. Forgot to run it dry in the Spring, so I had to blast it with a space heater for a 1/2 hour to ungunkify it. Started, albeit in a cloud of blue smoke for a bit.

Also fixed a faulty ratchet that allows you to adjust chute direction. 👍🏻👍🏻
