I don't know how to convince people to do that. I've had difficulties even with my team, I know some of them would rather try using GenAI rather than show anyone that they can't draw.

Are they doing that because they are both aware they are very bad at explaining what they would want, and that genAI is not the thing that is going to give them what they actually want ?

Yeah I know, I would use stick figures and annotations to achieve a better result.

I've been looking for any kind of guide for a well known videogame with very crappy UX, and finding what I was looking on search engines was quite difficult. Top rankings being links after links of very similar ChatGPT slop without any valuable information in them.

I can't read article, do they have more graphs? Especially interested in the total (did human production decrease, or is it only caused by the increase in genAI production ?)

My own experience has been that the situation is very dire for articles on videogames.

Not directly related, but remember an RPG that made me choose between letting an injured enemy die slowly in a swamp or finish him, the second option adjusted th character's alignment toward evil. Sometime morality is clear, sometime it's more culturally anchored than the designer acknowledge.

When we write or draw porn or erotica, we get banned from having a bank account and our livelihoods get seized even if we give it away for free.

When billionaires steal what we've written or drawn to churn out a slop-approximate of porn, they're allowed to charge for it.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

Oh. Right. I might have been overwhelmed by enthousiasm. The AI sales pitch says "sentient machine", the reality is "crappy dressing with weird, very small and useless triangular drawers".

Looks like it's bigger in the inside than it looks from the outside, but actually it's not. Probably smaller even. But you can open it from all four sides and with the right phrasing nobody is going to notice.
