It's really easy to get dunks in with the current news, but don't lose track of what's at stake in your struggle.

For us, it's not just our land, water, and health. It's also our ability to live in a world that prevents genocide and war instead of enabling it through automation.

We’re approaching the most ridiculous part of the AI bubble, with each day bringing us a new, disgraceful and weird headline. As I reported earlier in the week, OpenAI spent $12.4 billion on inference...

A nice obituary for Alice, who was going to be recognized as one of The Post 50.

I hate that we now have to live without this phenomenal woman.

Ch3 ends with environmental impact of data centers, and I MUST mention the efforts to stop the UM data center, which led to @ali-alkhatib.com book club, which led to convo where I learned about Williams' book!

A great pause point for the night; check out their work: @stopthedata.bsky.social

Thank you for the wonderful coverage of our uphill struggle! Of note is the exemption from municipal law that UM holds in the state constitution, making this data center extra tough to resist.

Come to our next gathering or reach out to learn more about plugging in so we can unplug this monster!!!
This town has officially decided to fight against the construction of an AI data center that would service a nuclear weapons laboratory 1,500 miles away.

Big AI data center and infrastructure investments continue to bring less money and more problems!!!!
Based on analysis of years of revenues, losses and funding, since 2023, OpenAI has taken in $28.6bn in cash and had $13.7bn in losses.

However, reports say OpenAI ended 1H 2025 with $9.6bn in cash - suggesting OpenAI's losses are billions higher than reported.
