I know I said I wouldn't repost this again but just have to brag. Took half the loaf of banana bread to a neighbor and last minute took one of these cards, she was SO EXCITED to know about the book and says she is going to buy one. Who knew! 😁

My lovely publisher made these postcards to help promote my book. If you had one, you could get your library to order a copy! Plus they make nifty bookmarks. If you'd like one, or a couple to share, DM me your mailing address and I'll send you a Happy Holiday card! (US only.) 📚 ❤️‍🔥 📬

Boosting this again as December is flying by! I published 2 stories and a poem this year that are SFF awards eligible. If you need some pre-holiday reading to help you procrastinate whatever you should be doing, I hope you'll check them out.
I get to hop on the bandwagon this year and do an awards eligibility post! I had two poems and two short stories published this year. If you're nominating for awards, I'd appreciate your consideration. All work is SFF/speculative except for "Greyhound." Links in replies.

POEM 290: The One in a Million Cat by Millie Tullis (@millietullis.bsky.social)

Could I bring home the ox,
if I were the Ox-Cart Man? How
would I keep the millions of cats
from fighting, if I were
the Millions of Cats Man?
How I would keep them fed
if I were his Wife.

Some visual/ found poetry using
Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway as a source text. I focused on pages with mentions of flowers for this project.

this is beautiful -- a wonderful reminder that putting yourself inside a story is a gift of childhood that, ideally, stay with you as an adult. Could I bring home the ox, if I were the Ox-Cart Man, indeed.

Love this, thank you for posting/sharing.

Sometimes at dusk I walk around and look (ok snoop) through people's windows, after they turn on lights and before they close the curtains. This poem just out in the lovely Dawntreader (from @indigodreamspub.bsky.social) is in part about that - in part about heartache.
