“This action would be nothing short of catastrophic and would destroy the credibility of the U.S. in the international community,” a high-ranking DEA said, adding the move imperiled the reputation of the United States and its international investigations into drug trafficking.
Juan Orlando Hernández was accused of receiving millions in bribes and conspiring with cocaine traffickers to import drugs into the United States. He was convicted in Manhattan in 2024 and sentenced to 45 years in prison.

In case you’re wondering why Pete Hegseth is freaking out about a congressional video reminding the military not to participate in illegal orders:
To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

This is how the New York Times euphemizes Trump’s open embrace of racist xenophobia and white supremacy. And yet it’s better than most of the legacy media. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/28/us/politics/trumps-response-to-shooting-shows-intensified-anti-migrant-stance.html

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

Journalists need new norms for verbal abuse during pressers. The standard advice is not to respond, and I can say from personal experience, that's usually a good idea. But it's different when it's the president routinely degrading the press on national TV, it degrades the whole profession.

This is the result of the CIA using children to kill people and yet a whole lot of people don’t want to recognize *American* culture, and in particular the culture of the War on Terror, at work here.

What are we doing?

Okay so what I’m reading here, if this account is to be believed, is that Lizza and Nuzzi are complicit in withholding major dark political actions that have had insane implications for like, everybody. Journalistic malpractice doesn’t even begin to cover it
While there are often some ethical issues with making free PDFs of paywalled content, in this case it seems entirely justifiable, given the author, the subject, and the journalistic imperative to provide the widest possible audience for the verb "Michael Wolffed"
