Poverty is a choice

but it's not poor people that make it.

Topologically speaking, there are actually only four food groups: rice, steak, bagel, and Swiss cheese

No, willful ignorance is being told the evidence exists and dismissing it as a false claim

Lying is knowing the evidence exists and saying it doesn't

He is lying, he knows full fucking well, there is no ignorance

America, 1775: “No taxation without representation.”

America, 2025: “No kings equals no paychecks.”

If no kings means no paychecks it sounds like we need a new economic model

In this proposal I will include quotes from Plato and Karl Marx,

Trump and Bessent clarify that they will only help out Argentina as long as Milei is in power. Trump adds that the same thing goes with NYC, where the White House will hold up funds if Mamdani wins.

Agent lobs a gas canister into a residential neighborhood in Illinois for no discernible reason, gassing dozens of neighbors including a baby. The comfort with which they deploy weapons of war is unreal.

"The customer is always right, in matters of taste" was originally a luxury slogan popularized (and maybe invented) by the founder of the chain of hotels now known as Ritz-Carlton. It means that if the customer wants an ugly hat, you sell him an ugly hat even if you know he's going to return it.

Same reason they skip the "in matters of taste" part of "The customer is always right" or the "It is impossible to" part of "pull yourself up by the bootstraps"

Because they fear an informed public.

I'm not a CRYPTO expert - I don't fully understand the double-SHA256 procedure, for example - but I am knowledgeable enough about cryptoCURRENCY to state with confidence that it is less useful than all existing forms of non-crypto currency.

In a PoW system you get better odds of minting a block by having more processing power. In PoS, you get better odds by staking more tokens. The system rewards not spending the currency and punishes spending it.
stingleword.bsky.social
PoS is like PoW, but the difficulty target is different based on the wallet that signs for the block - the more unspent* tokens in the wallet, the lower the difficulty.

The reward system is the same: mine a block, get the block reward and the fees for transactions in the block.

Establishment Democrats are always like "progressive policies are unpopular" and then they PROUDLY AND ENTHUSIASTICALLY go to bat for genocidal Zionism for years, which is wildly unpopular and loses voters, so maybe it's not about messaging. MAYBE THEY'RE JUST FASCISTS PAID TO OBSTRUCT ANTI-FASCISM.

Boy you sure love to spout those crypto scammer talking points though, that's two in a row.

Proof of Stake is a "he who has the most money makes the most money" system which is even worse than proof of work.
