Really enjoyed this interview and the feelings he expresses about his life and career.
Im trying to engage less with social generally as I do not like the feeling of working for any tech companies and frankly do not enjoy how most people talk about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness rn. So I am trying to be about it more than talk about it these days. Finding real connection
I like the art of different seasons of sport. Reminds me of good times, where we won even if the team didn’t. Not just art art but all creative expressions that represent enthusiasm and deep care. Even if it is bad. Sometimes the bad art is the best art.
Gary Kubiak with orange bronco logo hair. This is hard to described tbqh. Photoshop by Steph Stradley. She is a baby at photoshop but just good enough to be a little funny when she feels like it. Are you supposed to talk in the 3rd person with Alt Text? I do not know. A screenshot from the classic educational video Tennessee Titans Named after Inbred Defeated Greek Gods. It is children’s dolls that share that the Titans of Greek mythology were the product of Uranus having sex with his mom. This is famous fan art of David Carr that was in wide circulation in the early years of the franchise. I saved it because so much care went into it and the artist gave me permission. What a very durable and kind quarterback.
Ok I just reread my quotes and I still feel very good about them. I have been experiencing the Texans season in a different way than some, maybe more meta and less in the weeds. I trust this crew as much as any.
I know I missed this post but yes, that tailgate was SPECTACULAR. Very donut forward compared to normal. I judged the Blue Crew Chili Cookoff they do when TN comes to town. It was delicious, I added Vitamin F, for FRITO. We laughed and laughed. A group went to Alabama Ice House after 😎🙌

hung out with @stephstradley.bsky.social who’s in town for acl. blessed that my charm allows me to have wonderful friends
This was a spectacular day. #Texans crush Ravens like what good teams do to struggling teams. Saw a bunch of bands. Recruited some Spanish Texans fans, and we danced.

Exactly and some kinds of culture talk is BS and corny. Especially when a guy tells you one thing but doesn’t live it. Really hard to get any org going one direction.
Prefer your #Texans vibes via video? I got you. I’ve been writing about the team since 2006, my current thoughts can be found below.

BONUS:
I also give the definitive Texans BBQ view which is not a debate for me youtu.be/fznkYlbiyMQ

oh man must be nice to be a multiple parade team. championship parades rule
This is lovely. I adore New Orleans parade culture. Went to this SB parade and helped volunteers untangle beads and give them out. They told me the histories of all the bands and groups, what they are known for. Really an uplifting time. This tho! 👇
On a lighter note, the Eagles fans who met at the Super Bowl parade got married and the Vows story is really quite sweet

I like all unis where if it is not traditional, it is something you can see instantly on sports clips and instantly know what team. Like to me that isn’t essential but cool if it works out

Do not be sorry I really had meant to sort that earlier. Anyway, this is a reminder that I need to check bsky more on the reg. I’m kind of limiting my social tbqh. Also this week was A Lot and that is actually Fine.
lol Texans the people not Texans the players. I know it exists because I experienced it, saw people videoing it.
I love discovering that Val Kilmer loved MacGruber as much as I do.
Yo I keep finding more of my friends and future friends here. 2025 is A MASSIVELY RELEVANT HOUSTON SPORTS YEAR. I NEED TO FIND ALL MY PEOPLES.
Yes! Our Lone Spot Tailgate won the first #Texans 2025 Tailgater of the Game. ‼️ We aren’t big or fancy but there was so much love and feast. Was an extremely uplifting day. We got to keep practicing getting our minds right and vibes impeccable. Champion Hearted, we make and celebrate all Ws. 😎🙌❤️🏆

Time to play: #PlatformJuiceTest. Can a platforms’ members find the answer in a kind and loving way?

Item: photos or videos of #Texans in an Audi Q5 playing tuba along canal street after the #NFL Super Bowl in a respectful celebratory brass way.

I don’t have them. They exist. Please pass the test
I like all kinds of interesting convos. If other people enjoy them too, cool.

The most important takeaway. Be kind to Houston people trying to do cool stuff. Harsh words are usually unnecessary among friends.

This story is really meaningful to me because I have been thinking about vert skating and its peaks and valleys (lol) for nearly a year. In reporting, I learned a lot about something I thought I already understood. I hope you'll find it interesting, too. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/30/s...
