A *Conservative Party politician* calling 80s hooliganism “largely good natured fun” is absolutely fucking incredible
Clearly not as intelligent as people thought.
Also he's actually being antisemitic himself.

Why isn't the story that Starmer equating Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, who have a history of extreme violence, to all Jews is very antisemitic? Much like when he equates Zionists to all Jews he's also being antisemitic, especially when you consider there are many Jews who are against Zionism.

"weirdo” “ridiculous” - these are the playground taunts when you have no political arguments left to make.

And just like playground bullies, they come from a place of fear. Because they can see us organising and they don’t know how to respond.

Trump is a frigging psychopath.
A little time equates more Ukrainians dying. That's alright in Trump's mind? The US president is playing games with the Ukrainian people, giving them hope, taking it away again and letting them suffer endlessly. He's a fucking psychopath.

Given how much the China spy case has dominated headlines, it really does beg the question: why is our political-media class so uninterested in Nathan Gill, his Russian bribes, his once close associate Nigel Farage, and Reform UK?

Just sent out this free post. Trump is tormenting the Ukrainians, by giving them hope of helping them in ways that he never will (Tomahawks). I talk about why, and why the media needs to stop helping him do so much damage. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...
Trump Is Tormenting Ukraine
The least the media can do is not help him

My dad still says "this isn't Brexit, it's been stolen from us" so I doubt it. It's been a very depressing 9+ years to be a Brit (who is capable of rational thought).
Such a shame . . .

I've wanted to vote Labour all my life but there's been many times when I've felt unable to, now being one of them. Voted Greens at the last election, as I could see what Starmer was becoming, and I just joined the Greens because something has to change.
I've retweeted this but I have no faith at all in the Labour government, especially Starmer, to do anything sensible like working together with other parties against the far right. Only last night he equated Israeli football hooligans with all Jews, which is a very antisemitic thing to do.

If the Greens, Labour & Liberals do not find common ground against the right-wing populists like Farage, Britain will descend into chaos. Any reading of 1930s Germany will teach you clear lessons. You learn them, or you fail the British people. It’s that simple.

PPE Medpro refuses to pay the debt which is now £145m.

The Government needs to charge the debt to Michelle Mone and Doug Barrowman and then put out an arrest warrant.

They can sit in prison until the pay.
It's almost as if Trump is out of his mind or something . . .

The war on drugs has failed.
It punishes those with addictions, drives drug sales through the black market and ultimately kills people.

We need to grow up and make what’s so obviously the right decision.
We need to stop criminalising drugs.

Numbers continue to creep up in the categories of Russian losses which indicate battlefield pushes.

Around 40 artillery systems and 140 vehicles, and again over 1,000 more soldiers sacrificed for the Tsar in Moscow.

Terry is absolutely correct.

Along with Schengen, the SM, the CU and the euro, we have transformed European horizons.

You cannot believe a single word that Trump says about Ukraine until reality matches his words. And so far reality has not matched the vast majority of anything Trump has said about Ukraine.
I know there is a new surge of optimism that Trump will really help Ukraine and hammer Russia. And the White House is making lots of "noise". However, keep in mind the following:
The first threat to really hammer Putin with sanctions was made 9 months ago. www.cnbc.com/2025/01/22/t...
Trump threatens Russia with sanctions, tariffs if Putin doesn't end Ukraine war
The war in Ukraine began with an invasion by Russia in February 2022. More than 240,000 soldiers have been killed on both sides, according to Ukraine.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social is the first politician I've heard say something sensible about drugs in my life. Clearly the war on drugs has failed, it's wreaked lives and made criminals very rich, and we need to manage drugs in a far more positive way.
"Polanski slammed” reports the Daily Express. The person doing that “slamming” is, err, Daily Express journalist Carole Malone.

And the reason? Because I want us to follow a science led public health approach to regulate drug use.
