They have such a good selection of little things I don’t really need for my planning/journaling purposes but I do really enjoy anyway! I am not an artist or creative much at all, but I put a little strip of washi tape between my very plain journal entries to separate them clearly. It’s satisfying.
You can tell where I started running out of time making notes because my handwriting gets bigger and the lines between subjects get slanted. (Paper: Rhodia A4 dot pad. Pen: Kaweco Brass Special fountain pen, EF nib. Ink: Waterman Serenity Blue.) Statisticians feel free to correct any errors lmao
i did make myself laugh this time ngl
I get 50% extra time on exams and used every minute on my midterm yesterday, meaning I spent three full hours taking that test. I slept for about 12 hours last night and still have a statistics hangover.

When you're immunocompromised and chronically ill and therefore sick all the time but don't worry because your best friend will bully you into drinking tea.

Anyway, We Are Made of Scars and Starlight is out now and it's got lupus and depression rep, found family besties, and all gay everything.
Text that reads:

“Sounds like she’s being a bitch.”
“Ok, I’ll let that one slide because you’re dying.”
Speaking of. “You probably shouldn’t be in here. I’m probably contagious.” Even if the pressure from Mariah’s hands in his hair was a delightful departure from whatever hellish virus he’d contracted this time.
“I never get sick from you,” Mariah said. “My immune system actually works.”
“Show off.”
“You’re not drinking.”
Kai sighed. “I’m tired. I want to go back to sleep.”
I have a midterm today don’t @ me
And if I say I had a bowl of dry off-brand honey nut cheerios, a cup of black coffee, and two espresso beverages totaling eight (8) shots for breakfast then what!
For someone who spends most of their time doing biostatistics calculations with fountain pens, I am very bad at writing Greek letters
We sure are on the darkest timeline huh
tell that to squidward tentacles
every! thing! you! lose! is a step! you! take!
i love having autism time in therapy

Not in a disordered way. Just in a hydration/caffeine way.
In a stunning display of being exactly the way I am, I brought three drinks to work but forgot to pack food.
I have groceries and clean dishes but this is what academia wants from me
Midterm week dinner: a mushy, dry leftover pumpkin pancake eaten out of a cereal bowl with a fresh cup of hot black coffee on the side
Anyway #episky if you have any leads on jobs in the NYC metro area for a new MPH epi grad with a lot of biostats experience, a few occupational health publications, a LGBTQ+ cancer screening disparities capstone, and elementary, middle, and high school math teaching experience, hit me up please.
@maryroach.bsky.social has been my favorite author for many years and I’m currently wearing dinosaur skeleton pj pants. Just saying I think we would be buds.
Two psych hospitalizations and one for IV antibiotics, my dad’s illness, a car accident, PT for a slipped disc and concussion, two surgeries, navigating disability services for new autism, ADHD, and learning disability diagnoses, lots of ER trips for various health issues. And I’m almost done.
