I already ditched Microsoft stock last year, but now the only thing left to do is just bail on the Windows platform as much as possible to send the message. I really hope we get some premium support from NVIDIA for Linux moving forward and some improved EGPU support for SteamOS/Bazzite.
Really glad that it's so easy to disable the AI chatbot in Firefox. I ditched Chrome and Edge, switched back to Firefox this past week, moved to Qwant for my search engine, and working to prep for a full move from Windows to Linux for everything but my work issued laptop.
I'm always excited for an excuse to replay Halo, but this just feels lame? I'm excited for a chance to bring new weapons into encounters I've practically memorized at this point, but CE still feels great on it's own.
It's interesting to see that a campaign only remake of Halo CE is launching as the first Halo title on PlayStation.

If Microsoft wants to get Xbox to 30% profit margins why not bring over Halo Infinite which has microtransactions, including 4 years of battle passes for PS5 players to catch up on?
Master Chief comes to PlayStation.

Halo: Campaign Evolved launches on PS5 next year, rebuilt and modernized with 2-player local co-op and 4-player online co-op: play.st/4oAYnr5

The kind of thing that happens when you need to get to 30%...

Yikes. I'll wait to see it in motion but first thought is I do not like this...
Wow. This is entirely sauceless.

I'm always down for any excuse to replay Halo CE but this really looks like an awful "Xbox hire this man" type fake game slice. All of the atmosphere of Installation 04 is completely gone.

Should update this list to include Halo Infinite's Haloween II Operation. There is a dedicated Survive the Undead gamemode and Flood-themed armor sets. Plus you can still earn the Ghost of Reach helmet and other cosmetics for free in The Exchange.
Congratulations to our winner @holoboo.bsky.social! A chat has been sent to them with the code.

Unfortunately, there were a few entries without the #FreeCodeFriday hashtag so they were not able to be included in the drawing.

Stick around next week for a new game and be sure to use the hashtag!

In games like Halo Infinite or Minecraft Dungeons the seasons/battle passes are always available, even if you started the game years later. Marvel Rivals is close to this where as long as you buy the passes while they are for sale they never expire. Sea of Thieves passes are gated.
Just remembered I have a 2TB NVMe drive in the PS5 we rarely use anymore. Time to pull that and put it in a PC!
Do seasons no longer expire? I'd love to jump back in but feel like the FOMO systems really just sour the whole experience.

A campaign-only Halo CE remake is cool, but I won't be happy until Microsoft makes me 12 years old again, playing Halo 3 with this mic.

Get on with it.
Someone should have told them they could have kept 100% of the revenue from games they sell on their platform and even get 30% of what everyone else sells there too. Shame they seem dead set on shrinking that infinite money generator.

RUMOR: New ICE Recruits Given Copy of “Papers, Please” in Lieu of Proper Training
Indie gamers and the itch.io fans stay winning.
If them and stores like GameStop or services like GameFly were smart they would have partnered so the big used game stores would include a code for the user at little/no extra cost and the mom&pop stores wouldn't have to lose revenue to the publishers. Could have been a nice balance...
Just had flashbacks to the PS360 era when publishers tried to add online access codes as a way to generate additional revenue from used game sales. Mass Effect 3 comes to mind.

I had/have no issues with this model since it helps them recoup from new players and keep games alive.
The irony of Game Stop and other used game retailers railing against subscription services was never lost on me. How much revenue do publisher/developers get from a used game sale again?

Follow requirement is only to ensure that those with narrower chat restrictions can still receive their code after winning. If your chat settings are open to Everyone then you will not need to follow to enter.

The Outer Worlds 2 Review – Exemplary Choice

Though its main narrative is anti-climactic, we're amazed by how much Obsidian crammed into this 30-hour odyssey, with side content that weaves seamlessly in and out of the golden path and a high level of reflexivity.

A lot of it was captures going back 5-8 years from Xbox that I still want to keep. Moving several hundred GB of screenshots and videos out of the cloud isn't fast.
