A lovely tribute to our beloved anti-hero, Adar. I hope Joseph Mawle and Sam Hazeldine see it, as they both deserve credit for giving this character the depth and dimension he deserves.

So many new shows to watch, so little time to do so (in my case), so many spoilers to avoid. 😒
My social media blackout will continue until I can get caught up on Andor and Tales of the Underworld.
I'm also rewatching #TheBadBatch again. It's at least the third time I've done so, but hubby is joining me for this one. It's actually his favorite Star Wars series, though he does like parts of The Clone Wars, too. It's nice to have company for one of these viewings, for a change.
I'm sure that Durin IV regards every communication from Eregion as a veiled request for more mithril.

Another great episode, even though Adar, sadly, doesn't appear in it. 🖤

Galadriel is every woman who has been replaced as project manager by a less qualified male because she's too headstrong and passionate about her work. Been there. 😠

#TRoPrewatch
Ironic that Annatar emerges from fire. Lot of symbolism there.
#TRoPrewatch
Celebrimbor's ambitions blind him to the danger. It's so sad, because his intentions - unlike his pushy guest - are good.

#TRoPrewatch
I can't speak for others, but if a man whom I had been told not to treat with under no circumstances was standing at my door for two days, waiting to be let in, I would have him forceably removed. How could you trust someone that obsessed? 🤷‍♀️
#TRoPrewatch
I wonder whose eye is on that black flag at the well. Looks familiar... 🤔
#TRoPrewatch
I just remembered, watching the Stranger pull Nori and Poppy through the desert, Saruman's derisive comment to Gandalf about going around with a small rag-tag dangling at his tail. That apparently was the case almost since his arrival in Middle Earth. 😏

Shaved Cirdan is even more beautiful. 😍

Give me an entire episode of him just sitting there by the water, reminiscing about the First Age.

This whole exchange between Galadriel and Elrond in the workshop is perfect. Such great dialog.

I absolutely adore Disa and her sassiness, which even with the king isn't immune to being on the receiving end of.

The Stone Singers are another wonderful concept. Tolkien mentioned so little about Dwarf women and the show's writers made excellent use of that information gap.
#TRoPrewatch
I'm also curious to see what the men of Rhun actually look like. Cool masks, though.
#TRoPrewatch
The landscape of Rhun looks rather familiar to me. I think I drove through it during my last trip to Vegas. 😄
JK, but I do love the scenery of the arid West (and wherever these scenes of Rhun were filmed).
#TRoPrewatch
I'm looking forward to the point in the series when we find out who the Dark Wizard and these butterfly witches really are, meaning, if there is reference to them somewhere in Tolkien's writings, or they are all OCs. I do not think he is Saruman or one of the Blue wizards.

Mirdania is every young woman who has been sheltered from men like Halbrand all her life, and is therefore too trusting.
#TRoPrewatch
I really can't stand the sight of Halbrand now, seeing through that smarmy deceit. I've dealt with men like him before, too. 😒
#TRoPrewatch
Galadriel is every woman who has had her concerns and opinions dismissed by a man. I've been in that situation more times than I care to recall.
#TRoPrewatch
I think I would stop wearing that ring if it was giving me such horrific visions as the one Galadriel has of Celebrimbor's eventual fate. 😳
#TRoPrewatch
And I much prefer how the Dwarves are depicted here, too. As they are in the books (and my imagination), rather than cartoonish caricatures.

It makes it all the more heart rending to know what happens to their kingdom. 😟

#TRoPrewatch
...receive sunlight is something I never imagined. The whole place is a visual masterpiece. 😍

#TRoPrewatch
Here we go! #TRoPrewatch, S2:E2 Where the Stars are Strange.

One of the things I love most in this series is its depiction of Khazad-Dum. They obviously put a lot of thought into how thousands of Dwarves would sustain themselves in an isolated, mountainous region. The gardens, and how they...

Sam Hazeldine really went all in as Adar. He didn’t need to go so hard, but gods are we all thankful that he did.

It’s such a brilliant performance.
