I went to Barnes and Noble for the first time in a long time and....I would've gotten more if I could get away with it (financially).

Ooooh...that's makes total sense now. *sigh* 😞 I agree, there absolutely needs to be more of that in BL. There was only a little bit in Your Wish is My Command. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other BL, with mermen, that feature anything similar.

It most likely goes into way more detail. I'm hoping that the ending doesn't leave a lot to be desired and the themes that show up in the story are expanded upon and feel like they have some conclusion. Everything doesn't need to be tied up. That wouldn't be realistic either. I do want a comparison.

There was a flashback of Jiwon experiencing abuse at the hands of his coach. It felt like that was shoved into the story and not fully woven in. Nothing was done with it later on. It was towards the end of the story too. That could've been expanded upon too. I want to read the novel now.

People already have been taking pictures of Jungwoo within proximity of women and making assumptions about him being in a relationship with them.
Essentially, I was disappointed with the ending. A lot of things needed more development and it felt like a lot was left open ended.

When Jiwon went to visit Jungwoo while he was sick, someone secretly took a photo of him entering the dorms that Jungwoo was in. So, someone will eventually catch them together when they least expect it because people are nosy as hell and can't mind their own business.

I was right before because Jungwoo WAS upset about them "just being friends" and him not being about to fully express how jealous he felt. Now they have to essentially sneak around and hope they won't get caught. They most likely will in the future. It's inevitable with Jungwoo being a celebrity.

Jiwon already struggles with low self-esteem. He was the one who was torn up inside whenever there was a dating rumor about Jungwoo in the media. At one point, Jungwoo just straight up asks him if he (Jiwon) just wants him to get a girlfriend. To anyone, it looked like Jiwon was pushing him away.
