#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

Unfortunately we might need to stick with white guys just for now, temporarily. Just to be safe. There are still left leaning voters that will only vote for men, and likely only white too.

I wish that dems would figure this shit out. Don't bother trying to get conservative voters, the current admin is exactly what they want (just nicer/more polite).

Meanwhile there is an even larger pool of nonvoters who they could be engaging and working on driving to the polls.

Win over Trump Voters!? Please. Just get the folks who voted for Biden and then didn't show up in 2024 to show up again. It's as if they didn't really feel excited to vote for some 'Republican Lite' policies...crazy.

Can someone tell these guys (these politicians and the pundits who boost them) that it is not November 2024 anymore? Abigail Spanberger, Mikie Sherrill, Zohran Mandani, and Aftyn Behn all likely won some Trump voters/2024 skippers. Update the talking points! 2028 is not only for white guys.

Look, it’s very simple:

If Netflix decides to release part 2 of The Nevers, then the Warner Bros/Discovery acquisition is good.

If it doesn’t, then the acquisition is bad.

For the first ~6 years of its existence, the big question around crypto currency was “what’s the use case”— @kashhill.bsky.social had a great 2013 “living on bitcoin” story that was defining.

But for the last year the answer has been clear: crypto’s best use case is fraud & political corruption

The thing to understand about all these network states is:

(1) they require a permanent underclass to do all the labor that keeps cities functional,

(2) they have no answers to how or why free people en masse would sign up to be that permanent underclass

And

(3) that’s because they want slaves.
