Got tired of my occasional YT rabbitholes making my recommended videos too many things I only tangentially cared about once and don't want to see a bunch more of (or watch a review of something, then get 40 videos of more reviews). Clicked the "clear history" button. Now a new problem :P

You sound like a damned luddite. Stop it. Sure there's bad things about new technology, but don't be stupid now.

Last one, I think. Working in the basement server room, finally heading up to my office with ringing still in my ears. Elevator doors open, I get in and hit the top floor, as the doors close I hear someone call out. Jam my arm in the door to stop it, and Cornel West thanks me and rides up to ground.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Years later, different building, older guy comes into my office looking for an officemate who was out. I ask if I can help, he shows me his phone unable to get to his email. I don't know much about Android phones but I help him, he leaves happy. Coworker says "what did John Nash need?" ... oh.

At work, fixing some IT issue, came around a corner and almost tripped over Michio Kaku who was there with a small film crew interviewing one of my professors. He mimed a "shhh" and pointed to them, I apologized, he spent the next few minutes telling me not to worry and chatting about life.

The chorus for "Vapor Trails" just came on, and instantly I realized how much I need my amp replaced so I can play it at a proper volume.

Apparently YT has figured out how to see people using uBlock Origin Lite and block them. Guess I don't watch videos anymore.

Trying some new things to get/stay organized. Maybe it'll help with those "what was it I wanted to do" moments.

Listening to a mother robin complaining loudly to have discovered the nest she built, laid eggs in, and hatched those eggs, in fact is right outside of a cat's favorite window to sun themselves daily.

I made a thing. And I used a thing to make the thing. And I learned about things, and things too. Now I'll talk about things. Oh, and also those things.

I present to you, the results of my frustration: a Chrome extension just to put a number in the toolbar.

chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hdjko...
Reading List Counter - Chrome Web Store
Shows a badge on the toolbar showing the count of unread items in the reading list.

Just paid $5 to submit a Chrome extension to the store to make up for the fact that the "Reading List" icon in the toolbar doesn't have a badge showing how many unread items are in it.

Second time in a week where the amount of time between "hey it's raining I need to go close the windows" and things getting wet was less than the time it took me to climb the stairs.
