Thanksgiiiiving with the fam- wild rice stuffed mushrooms, olives from Lund’s, Caesar salad, vegetarian “shepards” pie (Brits don’t yell at me), brussel sprouts, stuffed squash, homemade cranberries and centered with an amazing braised onion.
Yet again all vegetarian but amazingly tasty. 😋

I attended the funeral of my friend today. At reception, a drunken* relative took the mic and said really sweet childhood anecdotes. A couple mins later, she takes the mic again, goes on a tirade about meat raffles & how their from out-of-state family friend didn’t know about meat raffles at bars.

A friend I’ve known since high school just passed away from cirrhosis of the liver. I haven’t seen her in a while, but I heard through the grapevine that her alcoholism got way worse.
Having that knowledge, leaves me with feeling of regrets. I’m so sorry, Char.. You were such a beautiful soul. 🫂💜
