Why is it that everything about our defending seems so last ditch and chaotic? Just throwing bodies in front of the ball. It rarely seems to be capable, organised and sensible. Most say that we have 2 of the best CBs. They may well be, but are they compatible? Not criticising, just observing.

We had a bit of a free pass tonight. So much better. Workrate for an hour was excellent. Gifted them 2 goals. Easy after the event but Palhinha would be a better option than Bentancur imho, giving a defense that is defensively fragile more protection. RKM superb.

I think this is probably Cuti’s worst ever game for us. Involved in 3 of their goals. To be fair, he’s been immense for us so often, he gets a pass on tonight.
