For what it's worth, this could be turned on its head. The press should *always* convert AI business deals to net power consumption, and put it in relatable terms. For example, with 1 gigawatt, you could fast charge roughly 25 million iPhone 17s, or 80,000 household EVs, at once.

It would make sense to express the business transaction in terms of revenue for Broadcom, or number of chips to be delivered, not the power consumption of the end product. You don't go to the store and buy a killowatt worth of laptops.
