A jar of rock candy and a framed dagger sit on top of a dresser, near a sewing mannequin gifted to the boy for target practice. A swath of fabric that shimmers with magic starlight hangs over head as a comfort and a nightlight, and a high, catwalk-like shelf borders the top of the room. A toy train, propelled by magic, runs across the catwalk, going past various novelty replicas of places sentimental to the boy. The child’s drawings are taped to the wall, underneath framed artwork of his old home that were gifted from a friend, and sitting near his bed is a large stuffed crab, gifted to him by his stepdad.

I don’t know where this came from. It started out being part of my Faded Star series, but after painting the sky and distressed architectural details, I felt more inclined to “inhabit” the foreground space... 1/3

At the edge of a decaying concrete tunnel, a woman with shoulder length blonde hair holds out her hand to release a bluebird. It spreads its wings wide taking flight into warm placid skies. The view out of her aerie is from behind. She squats with knees out, comfortably balanced, but noticeably her body is bare. Her clothes lie in a pile beneath her as the sun cuts across the opening of her makeshift sanctuary.

Alexi isn't religious but he is spiritual by the customs of old world werewolves. Being the decendant of a god also tends to cause one to not be very religious.
