Hello friends! My name is Kel, 35yo small business owner (co-founder of Theoretically Brewing Co.)+ community advocate in Lethbridge, AB. I'll be running for City Council in 2025. I am a cycle-commute advocate and bike year-round. Into Urban Hens, and living lightly on the land.
Happy to meet you
Shoot. Will have to wait another 4 years for another crack (it will be my third, hopefully 3rd time is the charm!) at a seat on Lethbridge City Council.

In the meantime I will continue to work hard to enhance my community. Remember to support local, friends!
Hoping to be one of the ones on council that will be able to help move Lethbridge forward on this issue. Ready to climb those hills, and lead my fellow councillors to the top if I'm elected!
Housing First is proven, but its success depends on landlords' willingness to offer their rental units.
When politicians paint those experiencing homelessness as addicts or criminals, public willingness to engage declines, undermining the program.
Our next #Lethbridge council has hills to climb.
Am heading to the polls early tomorrow to cast my ballot in the Lethbridge City Council and Public School Trustee races. Folks I am voting for are progressive, come to the table with ideas and energy, and have worked hard to show their commitment to the community.

Make sure you get out the vote.
Best of luck, and I hope we get to work together!
I'm looking forward to being able to support a well thought-out, well-built pilot project for Urban Hens in Lethbridge should I be elected, and should such a project come across Council's desk.

What are your thoughts on allowing Urban Hens in Lethbridge?

The interesting thing about getting people to agree that the goal should be transportation “balance” — TRUE balance, not the lip service we’ve been paying in 99% of suburbs that’s really just about slightly less car dependency — is that to achieve such balance, you’re going to have to PRIORITIZE. 6/
How long is too long to sit on City Council? Just curious what your takes are.

Personally: I'm not a fan of someone making their whole career as a politician.

But I'm curious what you think: how long is too long, and do you think there should be term limits?
I'm excited because I want to raise Quinn on classic Sesame Street, Shining Time Station, Big Comfy Couch, Mr. Roger's Neighbourhood, and Mr. Dress-Up.
Sesame Street will be putting a huge collection of episodes on YouTube starting in January 2026

This is a fantastic way to educate children

It’s a form of resistance.

Shows like Sesame Street teach love, tolerance, acceptance & more.

These lessons are crucial for the long fight ahead.

Legit, genius move by the Edmonton School Board.
FAFO for badly written policy at its finest.
History is full of examples of what can be achieved by stalwart action and clear vision. We have a duty to build on the success of workers rights advocates who have come before. Happy Labour Day everyone!
We have to do better for our Seniors who are being hard-hit by the loneliness epidemic. Additional programs and supports will be required in the long-term to help Seniors remain a vital part of the Community.
If the policy you write doesn't prescribe, in precise language, what is and isn't acceptable, I would anticipate anyone worried about this litigious government to take it "over the top" as the UCP are claiming.
It's not malicious compliance if the policy is shit. It's just an abundance of caution.
The ability for folks to stay in their homes longer, and reduce dependence on resources, is directly tied to actions City Hall can take to encourage folks to Age in Place: keeping folks in the neighbourhoods that they have come to love over decades.

This election, vote for change at City Hall.
So, I had a baby. How was everyone else's weekend?
in the meantime: focus on Municipal elections, which are happening THIS October in Alberta, and elect municipal and civic leaders who will stand up to Smith's government's overreach and terrible policies.
Oct 8 - 20 vote for positive change in Lethbridge. My focus is on enhancing the every-day lives of citizens and continuing to build a community that works for everyone.
I wish a 3rd crossing was in the works in Lethbridge, but it will be a while yet for that project to be successful. We need actionable policies now to reduce traffic congestion and frustration in the City.

Oct 8 - 20 vote for change!
