When I read this & other articles I started using antihistamines for my Long Covid symptoms. I chose Loratidine - an H1 blocker (anti hay-fever drug) & Famotidine- an H2 blocker (antacid). I felt dramatically improved in terms of reduced brain fog, fatigue, anxiety & irritability & food tolerance

Having fun getting this stamped at various lambic breweries and lambic cafés. A great initiative by Visit Flanders and Visit Vlaams-Brabant to support lambic brewing culture and fully funded by them. I have 6 stamps already🙂😋

prevention of admission to hospital & is ignoring the high rates of #LongCovid post infection. There is no public health or disease prevention thought to the JCVI advice. Its all about saving acute hospital beds. However Covid is not like Flu! Get vaccinated if you can afford it.

On Tues I went to a Tesco Pharmacy & got my private #Covid jab, booked thro' #Pharmadoctotor.co.uk
It cost £90. Then I went to my GP surgery & got a free flu jab. The staff are no longer given free covid jabs. The reason flu vax is free & Covid isnt, is "Cost effectiveness". Put simply it's about

The cheaper cooler Hautes Côtes de Nuit hills above & to the west of the very expensive villages of #Burgundy are benefiting from climate change. Great quality to price ratio. These are the upper and lower plots by Domaine #Montmain where we had an entertaining multi-vintage tasting.

This is the most disgusting thing that I've ever put in my mouth! You're looking at #P&O Ferries loaded Nachos. The amorphous tasteless green goo is meant to be guacamole the nachos are soggy as the whole mess has been microwaved. Nothing tastes of anything. I paid £5.75 not to eat it.

The JCVI said Covid was now a "relatively mild disease for most people", with rates of hospitalisation and death having "reduced significantly".
Both are true statements but completely ignore the long term sequelae of multisystem #LongCovid.
Its just bad pennypinching medical practice.

There might be a north south divide on this as in Nantes the Breweries I visited did do cans and taprooms but down here in the Southern Rhône I'm finding there's no taprooms and Fatch excluded all do exclusively bottles!

So here's a thing I didn't know....french beer drinkers like glass bottles & are very sceptical about canned beer! Fatch brewery ONLY can their beer & they've had customers walk away as a result!
It's seen as a newfangled thing!

Wonderful friendly welcome at this new Provençal Brewery getting established in 1st year. They kindly offered a tasting of the core range (Blonde, Blanche, IPA, Ambrée, & the ltd edition DDH NEIPA). The Blanche had an orange peel addition which was delicious!

The Dentelles de Montmorail are a dental shaped mountain range, extending south to Mont Ventoux, shielding a sunny garden for vinegrowing. Up on the slopes above famous neighbours #Vacqueyras & #Gigondas is the village of #Suzette. Gorgeous smooth subtle expression Rhône red wine!

Ninkasi brewery is 48km west of Lyon but they have two bars in central Lyon where I tried their beers en pression. Pas mal would be my verdict. Perfectly drinkable and better than a boring blond!

Final beer from the Brewery Mont Ventoux at Carpentras is the Tripel! A bit sweet and malty for me but completes the range! The IPA and the Blanche were the best!

Cycling up to Châteauneuf du Pape it struck me that it translated as Newcastle of the Pope. So at the top by the ruined castle we found a garden bar where we had craft beer & Newcastle wine! Haway the lads!

A lovely bitter dry IPA from a brewery in the village of #Cairanne. Famous for red wine surrounded by vineyards this is a great beer. Sampled in Orange.
