I’m making a DK weight cardi and am loving the outcome so far. I would hate it in a bulky yarn. I literally unraveled a cardigan I made with a bulky yarn and tried to wear/love for two solid years. I hated it and unraveled it. It will become a woven throw blanket, now.😉
Inspiring! I usually do double threads in the weft when I have them doubled in the warp. I am going to try your version. I have a feeling that will be my next project. 😉🧶
Trying a new technique for the warping bar and front apron. Vinyl mini blind slats! So far the tension is better. The scarf is a cotton linen blend (5/2) warp and merino linen blend fingering weight singles for weft. 15 dent heddle.
A successful Maker’s Market this evening! 🧶
Being the daughter of an auto mechanic, I have some comfort in doing some of my own auto maintenance tasks. Last weekend, I replaced the cabin air filters on both of our Teslas. Had to dismantle part of the dash and center console, and contort myself, but I did it!

A chunky knit hat for the Art Show and Makes Market. I might make one more, too. Reverse colors from this one. No pom.
Stunning! 😍 I wish twill was easier to do on a rigid heddle.
Saturday weaving. Cloudy day. This is a perfect late afternoon activity. #weavesky #rigidheddleweaving #rigidheddle #weaving
Just finished, and wove in 200+ ends on this throw blanket for my daughter. All in superwash wool/nylon (85/15 and 75/25) sock yarn scraps, with KnitPicks Stroll as the neutral base yarn. It turned out so well that I am planning my next one! That would be my 3rd of these great all-seasons throws!
What a glorious sunrise paddle!!
Next finished scarf for the October Makers Market and Art Show! Acrylic for easy care. 🧶 Nice neutral color palette. Reversible. I kinda want to keep this one. 😩 #weavesky #rigidheddleweaving
Beautiful!! What yarn did you use? It turned out perfectly!
I feel you! Our fiber journeys tend to be like this. Once you start one, it leads you to others. That is the creative mind exploring the avenues of expression. 🥰
Don’t just “push for gun reform” in the US. DO IT! Too many children and innocent souls have perished because of the liberal US gun laws that result in horrific mass killings. STOP THIS NOW! I’m talking to YOU POTUS and SCOTUS, and Fed gov’t leaders!
Who even am I? Four projects going at one time. Two rigid heddle loom projects, a pair of socks on my knitting needles, and a crochet blanket. The new (to me) 10” loom is so fun!
I even had them on my international flights. I used Karbons for the international flights because other countries do not like metal needles (Chiaogoos are a no no). Easy peasy!
Great day on the HobieCat on the reservoir! We get better every time we go out on the water. ⛵️

This wasn’t just a security breach, documents obtained by NPR from a hotel guest who found them on a printer revealed something even more disturbing: a planned luncheon in honor of Vladimir Putin. The menu literally read, “In honor of his excellency Vladimir Putin.”
I just got a used 10” Schacht Cricket so I could start playing with things like overshot and twill and double weaving. It’s missing a dowel, so my hubs is cutting me one that I will sand and attach to the Texsolv loops and get started playing!
My beloved coming home from our really good MI trip. My children and grandchild are my most precious blessings, but this man makes my life complete. My heart is full. 🥰
I literally just flew home today to CO from a visit to Ann Arbor to visit family. What a coincidence!
