Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly. Husband to Tish. Dad to Craig, Vincent, and Nicholas. Proud to represent the 19th Legislative District. 🏛
An impassioned advocate and civil rights leader, Bishop Reginald T. Jackson dedicated his life to justice and to serving the people of New Jersey. We are all better off because of his voice and his courage. Tish and I are holding his family and all who loved him in our prayers.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is not only a day of mourning, it’s a call to action. It asks us to stand with our neighbors, challenge hate wherever it appears, and ensure our communities protect every person for who they are.

In after-school rooms across New Jersey, something powerful is taking root. The Bright Path Youth Mental Health Program is putting emotional-wellness tools directly where children learn, grow, and feel supported — in their YMCA after-school programs.

From the State House to Congress, Bonnie Watson Coleman dedicated her career to opening doors for others and fighting for working families. New Jersey is losing a true leader who never wavered in her commitment to doing what is right—thank you for everything.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Sonia Das. She dedicated her life to serving the public in numerous government roles, including as my Senior Advisor.
Her impact will not be forgotten.

Relieved to see that families in New Jersey will finally receive the SNAP benefits they are owed. No family should ever have to wonder where their next meal will come from, and I thank everyone who stepped up to meet the need this past week.

At Englewood Health’s Asian Health and Wellness Center, doctors are connecting with patients in their own language, making care more personal, more respectful, and closer to home. This expansion means more bilingual doctors, more access for seniors, and more families getting the care they deserve.

Today’s court rulings ordering the Trump Administration to provide funding for SNAP echoes what we have been saying in New Jersey all this time, that no one should ever have to wonder where their next meal will come from. We’ll keep fighting to make sure no one goes hungry.

On November 1st, more than 800,000 New Jerseyans will wake up without the SNAP benefits they depend on because of Washington’s failure to act. We cannot allow hunger to become a casualty of partisanship; it’s a moral crisis, and one that demands immediate action.
