Spent my day at the memorial for a dear friend’s dad, talking our childhoods with my roommate, exploring a Christmas festival in La Mesa, and then bookflooding at the adorable indie romance bookshop, Meet Cute. What a rich, fulfilling day. I love the life I’m leading.

Had a bunch of weird dreams last night but the weirdest one has me singing a 90s country song (Meet in the Middle) and then everyone around me started singing it? I don’t even know people who would still be my friend if I sang country out loud, much less join me.

I’’m 200+ pages into Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon and I would bet money that she’s played through at least the Heavensward expansion of Final Fantasy XIV. This book is great but it reads like if someone made Ishgardian/Tudor fanfiction. I love it so much 😭

I set up a high interest savings account through Amex instead using my normal bank. I have it set up to automatically withdraw $75 from checking every payday. Since I don’t see it every time I look at NavyFed, I often forget about. Checked today and I’ll have $1000 by the end of the year!
