i’d also maybe consider the Twin Cities as a midwest option bc it is super queer or Cleveland bc i think a lot of people would really enjoy an outing to the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

i am probably biased, but Baltimore is vvvv queer and trans friendly with a massive sapphic population, nice international airport (Southwest Hub), tons of great spaces for meet-ups, accessible via train to a ton of the Northeast, generally cheaper than DC, lots of fun history stuff to visit, etc.

so, my GF grew up outside of Nashville and told me a few days ago that it is fake nice where people are “nice” to your face but aren’t genuine versus where we currently live where people are genuinely nice and won’t put on a facade if they don’t like you.
