There are too many stories of spiritual abuse in the community. Most times people don’t say anything because abuse recovery is a very hard thing to navigate.

I’ve been taking the subways by myself since I was 7 years old and I’ve never been accosted or disturbed. I know that isn’t because I’m so street smart.

Most of the time I had my head in a book or my Gameboy 😭
