My maternal gma literally just died from pancreatic cancer just like D’Angelo and I am a caretaker for multiple relatives so I’m not letting ignorance slide man, gwan.

Black men and women, REGULARLY go get checked and argue doctors DOWN. Get second, third and fourth opinions. You know your body.

I have to write a speech on sickle cell disease and how it affects our community. I didn’t know newborn screenings were mandatory until 2006.

If you were not tested for sickle cell as a baby, please go get tested.

Before procreating with someone, ask them to get tested as well.
