semi-regular 5am alarms for that LDN > MCR commute has turned to regular 5ams even on non-travel days. I’m one of those insufferable 5am-club people now and I love it. The best bit is going to bed at 9pm

last year i wrote a book round-up for every quarter. this year, i wondered what might happen if i waited for all the books to percolate in my body.

a month to go but i’m already at 75 books so it’s going to be a CORKER. even if i only stick to top-rated, there were so many good ones this year.

it’s so funny reading old books. tbf this is preferable to the awkard he/she, overtaken now by just 'she'. WHEN ALL THIS TIME, THE GENDER NEUTRAL 'THEY' IS RIGHT THERE.

i can't believe i'm saying this but i need the tech bros (gender neutral) to weigh in
a question for the tech folks...

i’m helping someone build a VERY simple, 1pg static site (11ty + netlify or github pages probs). i want to show them how to update it themselves...

should I just keep them in github or show them how to use the CLI and an editor?

existence is just a rolling experience of 'unprecedented times' and the whole eschatology schtick is, i'm sorry, boring and unproductive

remembering how to do academic writing ... slower than I‘d like
also not helped by my tendency to read 10 things to write one sentence.

i’ve been getting up at 5-ish for almost 2 weeks now and the biggest issue so far is how many meals I have to eat before midday.
