I know it's the responsible thing to just put in a bit of income all the time but I'm afraid of the AI bubble just tanking everything.

I'm young enough that if I invest and my investment falls 50% I can recover eventually but the bubble popping feels like a question of when, not if.

The NASDAQ composite index spiked in 2000 and then fell sharply as a result of the dot-com bubble.

yeah any time the big sportsbooks take down their odds for a bet the pricing can get irrational bc the price is usually being set by bots that are just checking the book odds

when they turn off you get 10 cent spreads and can get filled by drunk frat boys who won't balk at that

in kalshi discord we call them moggers, after an infamous user who'd buy up the order book in one specific market with money donated to his givesendgo. then brag about how he was "mogging" everyone bc his giant orders moved the price and gave him big unrealized gains

Just got 1000 shares of what is effectively a bet on the Phillies to win tomorrow for *31 cents apiece*

That's basically +222 at a sportsbook.
