And the second Republicans start screaming "THEY CAN'T/AREN'T ALLOWED TO DO THAT," we can remind them this administration has done MANY things that they "aren't allowed to do," including the President threatening withholding funding if elections don't go his way, and it hasn't stopped them either.

I don't think any lawyer would have a difficult time arguing that threatening to harm citizens by withholding a city or state's federal funding if the President's preferred candidate doesn't win is blatant election interference and, as such, is explicitly incredibly illegal.

This press release from a North Carolina GOP figure portrays the current redistricting wars as something *Democrats* started in Calif., ignoring the fact that this all began with the Trump White House and first unfolded in red Texas.

According to them, Republicans are once again The Real Victims™

The Jay Jones thing gained no traction and fizzled out because we simultaneously acknowledge that 1.) what he texted in private was awful and 2.) that it's no worse than what Conservatives say they want to do to women, POCs, LGBT+ folks, Democrats, etc in public, often on camera, every single day.
