I actually can't describe it properly. The scope of failure is so massive across so many dimensions. Everyone - the patients, the nurses, the docs - are just trying to survive. Or are just quitting. It will only get worse if we don't fix it. Yes progress and fixing has already happened...more needed

98 year old grandfather hasn't been able to access a family doc in years. My family - mother, aunt, cousin, and grandmother are/were the same. You have to fight to get anything if you need anything more than routine basic medical support

Docs discouraging you from seeking more care because there aren't resources for it. The number one solution I get offered is: let's wait until it gets worse before we do anything about it. Let's not get tests, let's not get scans, let's not seek specialists.

It's been building for years. Years without a doctor. Only shitty virtual doctors from elsewhere, run by shitty companies, staffed by people who sound like they live in India. Incompetence burnout and shirking responsibility at every step. Waitlists for years.

Gotta say it: the BC medical system has gone to utter shit. It would take me hours to explain all the incredible ways that responsibility and care has been dropped for me and the rest of my family members. It needs an overhaul. Musk confirmed that X will delete all heuristics from its recommendation system within six weeks. In other words, the familiar logic of likes, replies, and reposts that shaped Twitter for years is about to disappear.
In its place, Grok, the platform's in-house Al model, will read and watch more than one hundred million posts and videos every day to decide what users see. At the same time, X is testing a new interface that keeps users inside the app even when they open external links.

Update: he had a stroke and was in severe condition in the hospital. It was tough to see. They expected this to be the end for him. But he seems to have made a great deal more recovery than expected and now might even be coming home this week

Many traditions suggest that the observer and the observed are not truly separate.
When you look closely at the “observer,” it dissolves into the field of what is observed.
In that light, the silent observer doesn’t “impact” the observed. It is the observed, recognizing itself.
