This is how Toys-R-Us, Payless, etc. fell. Private equity firms can saddle a purchased company with the entire debt of their own purchase, strip every asset from the company, shuffle it off as its own entity, and declare bankruptcy on just the corpse with no harm to their own credit.

EA's Net Income (See: Actual Profit) is like 1.1b a year. That's less than the interest on this loan. To make any money EA either has to dramatically increase how much money they make (lmfao) or ruthlessly cut expenses so their profits are higher, which never, ever works. It's over.

So what's EA going to do to makeup 20 billion, monetize Madden and Fifa twice as hard and cancel every other game they make? I feel like EA is literally dead on its feet right now. Battlefield 6 will probably be the last one. Watch Mass Effect get cancelled or microtransacted and chopped into ruin.

I fear I may become one of those people who can’t stop talking about the fact that I own property but I LEGIT DID NOT THINK THIS WAS EVER GONNA HAPPEN and *much less* now and even mucher lesser the year of the accident. Feeling pretty dang lucky all things considered.
