Computer, please summarize everything PG Wodehouse ever wrote in ten seconds
rich dudes got freakier after butlers fell out of fashion, like say what you will about having domestic servants but clearly it was some sort of moderating force on old rich dudes having a fancy man follow you around saying shit like "oh dear sir, that wouldn't be very becoming"

Text from mom informing that, despite the boatload of snow coming down outside, she's been out to refill the bird feeder *three times* today.

Handing back student work that’s been written by ChatGPT with a 0 followed by the comment “This essay will never stand in authentic wonder before the Beauty of God’s creation.”
Pope Leo XIV told students not to use artificial intelligence for homework, saying that AI ‘won’t stand in authentic wonder before the beauty of God’s creation.’

When yall were kids (think like.. age 4-12) what was the coolest character design you had ever seen that was super formative?

I saw the Episode IV in the theatre in the 90’s for the first time and Vader’s look was unforgettable

"You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?”

As long as Jeeves comes up with the rescue plan, I'm safe.

If Bertie does? Well I'm dead, and he's somehow engaged to Honoria Glossop again.

I think there's an assumption that if you buy and own a 3D printer, you're going to go into business for yourself and start a shop to sell. Which you absolutely can!

#OnThisDay in 1987, Chicago TV was hit by the infamous Max Headroom signal hijacking.
A masked figure cut into WGN’s news, then Doctor Who on WTTW—rambling, distorted, ending with a bizarre flyswatter gag.
FCC/FBI investigations went nowhere.
The hijackers were never found. 📡👀

It's amusing to me that the estate that they used for Downton Abbey is the same one that they used in Jeeves and Wooster, for Totleigh Towers.

Somewhere, in some universe, Bertram Wooster and his valet arrived on the steps of Downtown instead, and one can only *imagine* the shenanigans.

It's always a little strange to be back in a place again after not being there for awhile; that duel feeling of familiar and out of place.

Like "oh yeah *that's* what my bed feels like after I nap in it".

It’s important to keep good, familiar books around, the ones you can return to during tough times.

November’s been a little rough, so I’ve been alternating between the classics of Wodehouse and Chandler.
