I, too, must defend my fellow Hoosier, even though I've been a Democrat for years now. He's not actually dumb, and he's shown that he's a man of integrity. And, what's all this hating on handsome?! He can't help it! 😄

This is so unbelievably cruel - especially in combination with cuts to funding for food pantries. But Republicans, good Christians that they are, will continue to deny and ignore until they or their loved ones stand in personal need of the safety net, and it's gone.

Apparently the $20 billion for Argentina was just the beginning of the US bailout according to Bessent today, since so many American oligarchs have big investments there that they can’t afford to lose.

The US has finalized its $20 billion bailout for Argentina.

Too bad it only benefits one American: a billionaire hedge fund manager, who has placed large bets on the future of the Argentine economy.

There is no hope. They're up to the eyebrows in propaganda and it's only getting worse. After a well-educated Midwestern relative asked me during the pandemic, quite seriously, whether we (Californians) were allowed to leave our homes to walk our dogs, I gave up.

Russ Vought is Trump’s shutdown hero. His neighbors think his work is “abhorrent.”

Several homes in the neighborhood have a yard sign in the front proudly declaring: “This house supports federal workers.” That includes the house right next door to his.

The people living near Trump's "grim reaper" of government cuts have put up signs letting him know they stand with federal workers.

“Eaton said he knew the shooting was on television but he didn’t want to disturb the children. Instead, he turned on cartoons for them to watch. He said they stayed about three or four hours before the woman’s husband drove close enough for them to walk and meet him.”

Klobuchar on J6: "I just find it appalling that the president would say the FBI was somehow part of this. Kash Patel did clarify that in fact they were brought in after the fact, but they were brought in because we needed help."

When @wired asked me to look at Silicon Valley in the age of Trump, I saw the crash of the idealism that originally drew founders--and me--to the tech revolution. Selling out the dream will not serve those moguls (or us) well. www.wired.com/story/silico...
I Thought I Knew Silicon Valley. I Was Wrong
Tech got what it wanted by electing Trump. A year later, it looks more like a suicide pact.
