navigated the folder tree on my work computer and really confused, what are these files and where are the ones I want and it took 15 seconds, oh, this is the wrong folder, go up two levels, over, and then down
To the extent this is true, and it is largely true, it is a failure on the part of the organizer, to provide people with a clear plan on what to do after the rally

I attended the rally in Newton, MA and my sign read

After the rally, what is your plan?
what can you do ?
ASK ME

and people did ask!!
is someone going to hand out a leaflet explaining what to do when we go home

eg, what bills are currently stalled in the state legislature ?

can we push for DEI pride day in our towns ?

cause without follow thru, this is sort of performative
"farmers have been hard hit by trade war"

god, I so wish that just one time one of you from the pundit journo class would note what utter shits the farmers are as a class, they all support trump, probably cause he lets them mistreat their workers
wanna bet there are undocumented workers doing the demolition ?
and that the guy who owns the construction company has a long history of being cited/fined for various things ?

and that the construction will be so shoddy, cause they are ripping Trump off, just cause they can
AfAms who remember Jim Crow Mississippi: this democracy you talk about, tell us more
I consistently find the headlines on the WSJ website more interesting then the headlines on the NYT website

of course, compared to the times, the journal is a cesspool of right wing trash, but still
most of the replies I could see were on the order of "it is better but not good" which is true but detached from the reality of what we could or can do

only a few "we could have had M4A and obama sold us out"
ok, how do we do it

it was huge titanic struggle just to pass ACA, and the enhanced subsidies under biden were probably a covid thing

get real
What if we had something even better
NO not worth reading

Quote
"From the moment that Maine oysterman Graham Platner announced his bid . . the political world and Maine have been on fire. "

it is true a tiny % of people on bsky have been on fire, but the author presents no data or info of anysort to back up her thesis so no
I think this is true

any unspent money in his campaign bank account, he gets to spend, and has some latitude on how to spend it

just saying
your link appears to point to a diff story at BnS ?
LLMs live up to the hype and all the money ?

of course not

but the 1st internet bubble crash had both a lot of loosers, pets.com and also huge huge winners, AirBnB to name one
pets.com
it is wierd, this thing bsky has, that LLMs are useless, or a giant crypto level scam, or the leading edge of totalitarian tech (which sort of contradicts 1, but hey)

and why is it wierd ?

cause in the real world, LLMs are doing all sorts of useful things for all sorts of real people

now , will

North Carolina Democrats can counter some of the damage of Republicans' looming post–Voting Rights Act redistricting by electing a progressive majority to their state Supreme Court. That starts with the reelection of Justice Earls next year.
When I served in the majority on the North Carolina Supreme Court, the court held that extreme partisan gerrymandering violated the state constitution. That ruling was rooted in the principle that voters should choose their representatives—not the other way around.
you any set of numbers having to do with the economy and they don't adjust for inflation, that person is not doing a good job
same thing if population was involved
don't believe me? go look up the population of the US in 1960, per the census
@maxkennerly.bsky.social @carlquintanilla.bsky.social

far as I can see the OP is making one of the classic blunders
not a land war in asia, but showing economic data that is not adjusted for inflation !

This post by @anthonyclark.bsky.social is a great example of why you need experts
It is in response to a post that asked, Does the House Speaker need to administer the oath to new members

you try to look this up yourself, you get a swamp of legalese

www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/...
far as I can tell, it all stems from this one post which is IMO idiotic

The ACA was gutted by Democrats. you can argue those key democrats could've been siding with what many see as the more liberal/patient centered options. or you could say it was unfortunate that Dems didnt have 60+ more liberal senators.

but it was Democrats.
Ok, but maybe you need to re-work that a bit. Also, you could also acknowledge that the original ACA was gutted by Republicans before it was finally passed, which is partly why it has been a problem for some.

It's amazing how Republicans NEVER have ANY agency.

Not once did it occur to this guy to put ANY blame on REPUBLICANS for OPPOSING ANY IMPROVEMENT TO THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM EN MASSE, meaning Dems HAD to cater to the weakest link in their own caucus to get it passed at all.
I'm not sure this is true, but my memory is that the GOP offered 100s of amendments to ACA, during the legislative debate*, and all but one or two were shot down cause they were poison pill amendments

*kids - go look up hours of debate for passage ACA and same for GOP effort to kill it in 2017
Talmon's time line is sort of fun, in a "educated people can be crazy" sort of way
