Irish, but living in UK.
Why would we though? The release says to “fully participate in British society”. In what way are we not fully participating in British society now?

Loved it, my 7year old who is desperately shy and anxious was glued to it and took a lot from it. Really well done.

When a judge stops the president from doing something illegal, that’s not a “threat to democracy,” that’s a check on the president’s power. That's the whole damn point.

Could be worse, you could be raising an Anglo-Irish 7 year old who will dance around in his English jersey for the entire tournament and point blank refuse to be any way supportive of Ireland.

And the score is beautiful. My brother (a lot older than me) loved the movie and had the soundtrack on vinyl. I loved it.

Same same for Christmas on the assumption it would save me money on my 1 coffeeshop coffee a day habit. I now have out of control coffee consumption instead.

Hilariously funny @thisamericanlife.org. I walked to the station at 6:45am this morning, in the dark, laughing uncontrollably. Exactly what Jan 3rd needed!
On the radio this weekend: The story of a small-town production of Peter Pan gone terribly awry. https://bit.ly/2UHPRvi

Hi, humans. I’m God.

Please do less killing this year. More working together to fight for basic human rights.

Thanks in advance,

Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

‘Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

After 6 years of loss and failure, 2024 is the year I give up on the hope of being a mam again. I am broken by it and can’t face what would have been the final embryo transfer. Not so much a Happy New Year but hopefully one where I find peace with my decision.

My head hurts reading the Israeli interpretations of Irish history. It’s disturbing to see so much pseudohistory deployed in order to [as our president noted] declare everyone Irish, everywhere, ‘antisemitic’.

We made it onboard! Fair play to Irish Ferries staff, having to deal with Holyhead closure and a storm! #drivinghomeforchristmas #irishseacrossing

Looking forward to this ferry trip home for Christmas becoming a funny story we reminisce on - still in UK, 12 hours in, one emergency room booking, zero sleep, potentially sailing at 10am #drivinghomeforchristmas #irishseacrossing #spéirgorm

Anyone else spent the week with the stress of waiting for a re-routed Holyhead sailing?

We’re now confirmed for a 02:45 sailing on Sunday from Pembroke - less sleep and longer journey than planned but we are #drivinghomeforchristmas #spéirgorm

Small boy has asked Santa to get him a Robin teddy… and it must be holding a candy cane. I’m quite prepared to buy a Robin and stick a candy cane onto him but before I do that, has anybody seen such a thing?!

Booked on the early crossing to Dublin on Dec 22nd. No pressure, just the happiness of a 7 year old and his 86 year old granny hanging in the balance. 😥 #happystressmas #drivinghomeforchristmas

This… 90 mins a few weeks ago watching U8s rugby where my son didn’t touch the ball once… and it was only 5 aside 😂. I’ve never been more cold in my life.
