Since Adam was now wide awake, despite still being tired, Raph decided now might be a good time for something he’d been wanting to do for a while now. Almost every time they’d gone out, it had ended badly. Raph didn’t think Adam would take very well to another head bashing tonight, but he had something different in mind. Plus it was still pretty early, the sun wasn’t even out yet.

“Yo, Adam!” He said once the others had finally left him alone.

Adam was sulking in bed, his head on his knees and his shell by the door. He probably expected another talking to, since that was the only conversation Adam had heard the entire night. But Raph was ready to just move on from it. Nothing had happened, so there was no reason to keep complaining about what ifs. He took a few steps inside the room.

“You and I are gonna go out today.” Raph decided.

Adam only glanced at him sadly before returning to his wall watching. Raph rolled his eyes. He wrapped an arm around his shoulders amicably.

“Yer gonna like it, promise.” He assured. “Ya won’t even have ta drive. I’ll drive fer ya.”

Adam looked away.

“Come on. We ain’t gonna go beat up no one. I just wanna show ya somethin’.” He insisted.

He turned around and took one of Adam’s hoodies, tossing it his way. Adam slowly picked it up, staring at it.

“Look, nothin’ happen’d taday and I’m sure ya jus’ wanna forget ‘bout it all.” Raph said. “There’s uh… there’s someone I know and uh… well, I wanted ta check with her. Ta see if da storm had done some damage to her house. I could use yer help.”

Finally, Adam looked back at him.

An anatomical diagram shows the skeleton of a Sharkfolk descended from the great white sharks. The structure of the skeleton resembles that of a human, but with some differences: the bones of the arms and legs are more robust, the rib cage has spines, and there are visible bones forming the dorsal fin, the small fins at the elbows and the large caudal fin. Finally, there is the rather eccentric and unique shark skull.

Someone on Tumblr asked what sharkfolk skeletons might look like.

I imagine they have a unique adaptation to living on land and in the sea, perhaps similar to amphibians: a hybrid skeleton of bone and cartilage. 🦴🦈🦴
