the funniest thing about this is that those of us who grew up in the divide all have a bunch of pre-cell phone numbers memorized and almost none afterwards

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I primarily use extra creamy oatmilk with mixed results. It freezes ok, but part of me wonders if it'd be best to just freeze the base soup, then add millk/cream when reheating to taste.

FWIW I've had the soup both with/out milk, super tasty and definitely recommend!

Gonna MD it up and use Old Bay for my seasoning, hehe

Recipe for veggie soup:
1 onion, chopped
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 c broccoli florets
2 carrots, slices
4 c veg or chicken broth
1 c milk or cream (optional)
salt, pepper, herbs to taste

Saute the onion in oil til soft, then add potatoes, broccoli, carrots, and broth. Simmer 15-20 minutes until tender, then use immersion blender until smooth. Stir in milk, season, serve warm.
