AS the Vegas defense was getting into its Man coverage for the poss.

It's like PHX never picked up on what the trigger, --from Zone to Man-- was (or at least was to me), INSIDE of the poss.

Throughout, the backside of the 2nd half, they made sure to throw off the cadence and rhythm of the Phoenix offense even more by throwing in possessions of their pure Man to Man defense.

PHX reacted by trying to create more motion, but oftentimes ended up taking the shot on the 3rd pass, RIGHT..

But That Zone Defense.
both the 2-3 version of if from the latter 3rd quarter, into the 4th, and also the 3-2 version down the stretch, was executed to near perfection.

*For the first 3 passes of PHX’s offense, The Vegas Def operated out of their Zone Principles.

On the 3rd pass A N D off the bounce, the near defender would move into Man to Man principles.*

just finished my/an really enjoyable Game 1 rewatch.

The Phoenix offense could get just about anything it wanted throughout most of the game.

From about 2:40 in the 3rd thru the end Vegas cut off PHX’s water in a beautifully executed toggling between zone & man.
