Paternity needs to be completely reworked. I got £186 a week for 2 weeks and that's it. At 2 weeks I was still driving to the hospital daily! Being self employed I have just had to take the hit to not work for 2+ months @laylamoran.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/money/2026/f...

Started doing a bit of poking around looking for freelance gigs.. and yikes... It's a bloodbath.

It's no secret the industry is imploding but seeing it up close is scary.

kind of funny that an olympian said they are here to represent "compassion, respect, and love for others" and some people automatically knew that was a statement against them

Every time I have a gap in my schedule I always get the temptation to actually start to pitch this to people.
Dug my RTS prototype out of the repo and ported it to Unity 2022 this weekend. Polished the volumetric fog-of-war a little and fixed a bunch issues from the version change. So many systems to fix up still. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

Why didn't the UK do it too? Why were our MPs quietly begging them to take highly illegal content down? We know, of course, but it would be nice if UK journalists could buck the will of their masters and press the point.

So he should have been booted several years ago. I am amazed he hung on so long. Now the question is why did Labour fight to keep him around, at this point they are complicit too.

DEFEATING LRAD

(Tinnitus warning)

TLDW: Foam plugs are good. Workshop ear defenders are great. A riot shield is also good and can be inverted into a parabola to bounce it back at the operators.

It's been 20 days of having a baby and dozens of appointments and not a single healthcare professional has asked how I am doing. 🥲

Obviously there is a greater priority on the birth parent and kid, but half the time they look annoyed that I am even there.

Thanks to the "Stalinist" congestion charge in Oxford (pictured), I was able to make several life-and-death rush-hour trips to and from the JR hospital recently. I used my free passes to drive (Yes, Drive!) smoothly through the Bolshevik 20mph zones instead of sitting in traffic.

The award winning movies, books and TV shows are also often completely and offensively fantastical.

This boardgame sounds more like a teaching aid. What a sad angle.

Thanks to a sleepless night I poured formula into a bottle without putting the rubber valve in the bottom, emptying it all over myself and my kitchen. Baby in my arms also decided to spew up too. Lovely.
