There is the possibility of a SAVE #TheHuntForBenSolo rally/meet up at Disney in prep for the Q4 Disney shareholders meeting but we need to spread the word now and figure out dates. Proposed ones now are Nov 8-9 & Nov. 13 or Nov. 10-13 but it’s open to other suggestions (morning of 13th is the call)

I think it also needs to be made clear that this isn’t subversion. It’s just someone not being talented enough to work in their actual desired genre. What subversion actually would be in romance, is taking a known trope, and turning it on its head. Not removing the defining feature of the genre. 🙄

I keep seeing comments from people adapting romance novels or starring in the adaptations and saying that the ending of these shows (there's more than a few I've seen) should have the MC end up alone and 'find herself' and I'm like, THEN WHY ARE YOU ADAPTING A ROMANCE IF YOU HATE ROMANCE?!?!?!

Fair enough but there are clear definitions to genre. If it is romance, that literally means there is an HEA regardless of how not morally conventional the relationship is.

If it doesn’t end with an HEA, then it’s women’s lit, a thriller, drama or tragedy. But not a romance.

You do realize the definition of romance is a happily ever after right? That means in the fictional story, that MC never has to deal with irl red flags. You know, because otherwise the book would be false advertising.

I feel like even though I had a crazy busy end to my semester, even while on break, I have been adverse to social media.

I have managed a couple threads here and there but I just feel so burnt out creatively.

I want to try and change that this summer. Maybe focusing on this platform might help?
