I think my first Gencon was in 2008. Went every two years until 2019-20 i think?
I missed one due to law school or bar exam studies or whatnot, but still went a number of times.

Always have had an epic blast.

We used to do Gencon every 2 years like clockwork, stopped at Covid, went back last year.
But we think it'll probably be our last in a while.

My lifelong group moved far away ages ago so we've embraced online gaming.
We try for every sunday, sometimes additional days, although life sometimes intervenes.
We also have a personal Con where one week a year we play multiple straight days straight.
Meet up in person every few years & live game.

The epic WEG Star Wars, Runequest 3e, Rifts & Shadowrun campaigns my group played in the 90s would be impossible nowadays due to being an adult with adult responsibilities.

We still play once a week for 2 hours or so, but it's a far cry from weeks of playing daily, or weekends of nonstop gaming.

Pat is jumpy, so she probably learned that clawing is not acceptable behavior just by the shock of my wife's reaction lol

She learned very early not to claw when we play, so she'll probably apply the same lesson.

She's a smart little fluffball.

My wife was at ger desk working & boom.

It wasn't a hard claw, didn't break the skin.

But ma'am, we don't do that in this household! Lol
Apparently she wanted attention & food as well.
So, I guess respectful or not, cat is gonna cat haha
Little lady probaby jumped when my wife yelled in surprise.

She follows my wife like a shadow most days, sleeps curled up near her feet under her desk when she works from home, etc.

Pat's been needy since we arrived monday from a long weekend away, which is fine, we enjoy giving her attention.

Today, she decided to claw my wife's foot to get attention.

Our cat Pat (currently Chunkadopolous, as is her greek name) is weirdly respectful for a cat in some things.
She doesn't climb on furniture, she knows which rooms she's not allowed in & doesn't go in, etc.
She's content in lounging around near us, supervising from nearby, sleeping in her box, etc.

Back to reality after a wonderfully relaxing weekend of disappearing with my wife.

One big highlight I have to mention: if you're in Aguadilla and like thai food, you must go to Mr Harry. Their food is absolutely delicious.

Now, sadly, we return to the grind.
