Wow, I did a half-hour live launch of A Disturbance of Shadows, and I had a number of people who showed up and stayed a while to hear about the new book, my fictionalized Louisiana and tales of writing in the Paperbacks from Hell era. Maybe laughing AT me, but still, a crowd!

Sad news. He crafted some dark masterpieces.

My wife Christine: I have never really watched Stranger Things.

Me: I can catch you up.

Christine:

Me: First, it helps to be aware of the conspiracy theories surrounding the Montauk Project.

Christine: Really, that’s alright. I’m good.

Did a stint at the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle at my local Food Lion. People were very generous, and it was great to chat with people as they passed our way. Donate to a virtual kettle at http://redkettle757.....

This ain’t much, just me trying to channel the thoughts of looking at the first laffy face clicker on someone’s FB picture of something dropped when their neighbor was carted away by ICE. Pretty sure he was not a bot.

I used to work in healthcare marketing. Sometimes I’d escort journalists who were covering surgeries. You’d see radiology techs standing out of the way near the wall until they were needed. I’m at that stage in Thanksgiving prep, unobtrusive until given further orders.

I've been reading #KingSorrow. Yesterday in traffic, I got behind a car with a back hatch plastered with stickers the way the Christmobile is described. Coincidence or was there a Philip experiment thing going on? Where the book planted the idea and...if a car appeared...uh oh.

I’m a Donald E. Westlake fan and a Shane Black fan, so I got around to Prime’s Play Dirty last night. Very interesting heist moments but kind of felt uneven. It was a little at times like a Dortmunder story with Parker in it.
