There's some memories of those Germans in these memoirs. It's also been claimed that Cornish miners, who left the declining tin industry there to mine lead in Shropshire, brought Nonconformity and Liberalism to that part of the county. merlingrowers.co.uk/george-evans/

Not bad mon, I’d just gotten into the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu when they brought out this rubbish, but I saw this again on an owd #totp - and thought it’s absolutely superb

I’m not a fan of Doctor Who but the original theme must be one of the best tv themes ever

Drayton definitely has a "Stewkie" (as in Stokey) dialect, and I've heard oldies say each of the pre-Telford towns was distinctive. So was the top of Clee Hill, with Irish influence, I believe. "How bist, sorrie?" etc.
