My nieces (3yo and 1yo) both decided the Japanese dictionary is a must-have in their life
There was a big drama about it, both fighting about who can hold it
The older one even offered the microphone to her sister in exchange for the dictionary

this morning I was super late for the bus
I rushed so hard, then realized I had looked at the watch that's wrong by two minutes
So suddenly I had two minutes more, which made me relax so much that I was late again, this time even more than before

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I have been thinking about getting a way too expensive figure
The dollar got weaker again, last time it was this weak was around 4 years ago, so I just took this as a sign and went for it
