#devtober day 15! No video but I redid how my map works over the last few hours before I head out to work. WAAAAY quicker to set up per room. Now it's using a single 2D array per layer (bg, doors, more doors) instead of 1 1d array per row.. here's 1 room

Game maker has a wonderful function that allows you to create an array, just one line of code and you get a whole array initialized. There is only this function for 1D arrays. Want a 2D array? Sorry bud. Looks like you are writing a while loop with a migraine.

My next thing for this month isn't actually gameplay shit but I want to sort out a quicker damn way of setting up the map. It's currently my biggest timesink in the whole project (aside from some big build times) and has actually stopped me from restructuring some areas

#devtober day 10/11/12/13 and 14! A full weekend and uh a bit of work, lots of picking at bits tbh, which is how it goes. I spent a lot of time tending to a sick baby and an injured wife! The area has been expanded a heap and that one menu got actually built!
