Bought this hunk of burning love. There’s an equally massive Da Vinci bio to get and then a Raphael. His will probably be shorter. This is all #CharlesDance’s fault. The drama/doc - Renaissance: The Blood and the Beauty - about the three artists was SO very good. Maybe I’ll read it one day!

I am loving the rowing machine! I have a session limit of number of rows and do at least two sessions a day. These are, of course, flexible but only upwards (except for illness and wotnot, genuine reasons not excuses, of which I have many). Today is one of those flexible days already.

I thoroughly enjoyed the BBC’s 3 parter Renaissance: The Blood and the Beauty. Charles Dance is wonderful in it, and the experts are all clearly exactly that, as well as being good communicators. A fine springboard into a broad subject, I’d say.

The best boost for book sales is word of mouth recommendation. Always has been, always will be. You can support your favourite writers by sharing your enthusiasm in person and online, and with ratings and reviews - which aren't homework assignments. Saying 'this is great, I loved it' will do fine.
