I know “a sketch got colored” isn’t that impressive to others but I need you to understand what an incredible personal achievement this is.

Art’s always been “off limits” for me because I can’t do lines. I know no terms or techniques. And yet shazam, here I am coloring something professionally-ish.

Oops sorry I’m gushing! I just, gosh, I can’t believe I colored this to look like THAT.

I’ve always thought myself as a terrible artist, but now, I’m not so sure. I think I’ve got the knack for all the digital components *except* sketches & lines.

Honestly? This is kinda a littlespace activity. 👉👈

Here’s what the image looks like without the “ink” layer.

It’s a lazy implementation, but efficient. Whatever wasn’t colored in, that must be a line right? So the entire ink layer is black, with tactical erasing for the bone and skull.

I think the grey lines look better on the skull’s details. ✨

I had to manually color in so. Many. Holes. Hahaha, I *wish* this was just a Fill tool click-and-done.

I even cleaned up “bleed over” lines and patched the image! In the sketch, the left side of the chest (camera perspective) has the dark red area end early. So, I copied the right side over to fix.

The RAD text? Copied from Joroo’s ref & bent.

The light shading was initially a complete accident. I was using an airbrush to color in the paws and tail tip, and accidentally shaded around the left hip (camera perspective). I recognized it looked good, so I applied it to the diaper and other limbs.
