in a less stable environment wouldn't it be easier to watch a video alone at home on a tablet than do homework at home? i would have thought parents "help" more with homework than with watching videos. (i have no monkeys in the flipped classroom circus)

that's interesting how the formulas all line up but the boxes still show nesting. if i were doing it i would have made the formulas shift to the right on each nesting level. but i'm not sure that would be better.

in truth it is non-binary erasure. have you ever seen a compiler that did not output binary code? transpilers on the other hand are not straight-jacketed into this "binary output" requirement, they are more flexible and nuanced.
